Reader Terms and Reuse

Effective September 19, 2026. The following terms cover dictatorshandbook.net and its educational articles about rhetoric, propaganda, institutions and history.

  1. Read examples in context. Quoting or analyzing a historical political message does not endorse it. The articles supply general information, not personalized political, legal or professional advice. Check dates and underlying sources when using a claim in your own research.
  2. Check rights before reuse. Text, illustrations and other material retain their respective owners’ rights and any stated licenses. You may link and make uses permitted by law. A historical image is not automatically public domain, and its reproduction here does not grant another permission. For reuse beyond those permissions, approach the rights holder. For this site’s material, email [email protected] with the page and intended use. A rights or attribution concern should identify the work and the basis for the concern.
  3. Use the website and correspondence lawfully. Do not disrupt operation, bypass restrictions, distribute malicious files, harass people or submit unlawful material. Share only documents and personal information you may disclose. An unsolicited contribution creates no commitment to publish, pay for or keep it confidential.
  4. Allow for uncertainty and change. Interpretations can differ and factual errors can occur. Submit a specific sourced correction through Contact. Completeness, current information and continuous access are not promised. Linked services set their own terms; a link supplies context without creating affiliation or transferring responsibility for them to this site.

Nothing here limits a right or liability that applicable law prevents from being limited. Revised terms and their effective date will appear on this page. The Privacy Notice covers visits and correspondence.
